Amazon.com Editorial Review Gotta Serve Somebody - The Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan is all about redemption. That's apparent enough in the music, where the struggle between sin and salvation is inherent in the tunes that are interpreted here by a host of superb gospel artists. But in a larger sense, the very existence of this DVD (and the Grammy-nominated CD that preceded it in 2003) can be viewed as redemption for Dylan himself, who weathered another controversy and emerged, if not triumphant, then certainly vindicated. When he plugged in an electric guitar in 1965, he was labeled "Judas" by the folkie faithful; ironically, when he turned to Jesus some 15 years later, proclaiming himself born again and releasing Slow Train Coming and Saved, the outcry was even louder. But once again Dylan has the last laugh, as now, a quarter of a century after the fact, it's clear that the material on those recordings was his strongest not only since 1975's Blood on the Tracks but perhaps since his '60s heyday. The quality of the songs lies in what Jerry Wexler, co-producer of the two Dylan albums, describes as the "immaculate funk" of the music, and especially in the heartfelt simplicity (especially by Dylan standards) and emotional directness of the lyrics; clearly, that's what attracted great gospel singers like Shirley Caesar (singing "Gotta Serve Somebody," the most recognized song on the two Dylan albums), Dottie Peoples (a powerful version of the beautiful "I Believe in You"), the Mighty Clouds of Joy (a rockin', sanctified "Saved"), the Fairfield Four (the stirring, a cappella "Are You Ready"), and the angel-voiced Aaron Neville ("Saving Grace") to this project. We also get Dylan himself, performing "When He Returns" at a 1980 concert, along with an animated rendering of his original "Gotta Serve Somebody." Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983. Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. Clases de Guitarra - (15) - Rock & Roll para Muñones: Armónicos Artificiales Aprende a tocar la guitarra electrica en: http://www.rockandrollparamunones.com Armóncos artificiales. Con esta técnica de la mano derecha, las notas suenan mucho más agudas. Esta técnica no está contemplada en ninguna de las convenciones de Ginebra, pero debería, porque practicarla es un suplicio para los vecinos.... Todavía me acuerdo de mi padre entrando en la habitación y preguntando si me había quedado gilipollas... Al grano. Es una técnica que se usa con distorsión. A más distorsión, más fácil es conseguir los armónicos. Probablemente la tercera y cuarta cuerdas sean en las que más fácilmente se consiguen. Se trata básicamente de rozar con el pulgar sobre la cuerda a la vez que pulsamos con la púa. No vale cualquier parte de la cuerda. Hay que tantear hasta que das con la zona buena. Una vez que consigues el armónico, si con la mano izquierda das un buen vibrato a la cuerda, el efecto se acentúa. En el ejemplo lo toco todo seguido, para que se pille de qué va el tema, pero aunque mola mucho, no es algo de lo que se deba abusar... Los armónicos naturales se tocan en puntos concretos de la cuerda, es decir, en trastes concretos, coincidiendo con la mitad, lacuarta parte de la cuerda, etc... Por eso, en los trastes que más fácilmente se consiguen son 12, 7 y 5 Pero los armónicos artificiales se pueden tocar el todos los trastes, porque el armónico lo tocas con el pulgar, no con la mano izquierda. Lo importante es dónde coloques el pulgar, que deberá estar en la mitad, cuarta parte, etc, de la longitud de cuerda que queda entre el traste que estás pulsando y el puente de la guitarra. Es decir, la localización del armónico CAMBIA dependiendo del traste que pulses. En la tercera cuerda es en la que salen más definidos. How to Play Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix This is the intro to little wing as close to how i think hendrix would have played it as possible.(yes i realize i'm not playing it on a strat...bills had to be paid) although it's akward, try using the thumb for as many bass notes as possible, even the gnarly a minor reach at the end.. i referenced the tabs from the official score, and made slight changes after listening through headphones. the phrasing is the real challenge. make sure you're solid with the rhythm. let me know if something sounds wrong,. or if you need any further explanation., or if you want me to show you something else all together. have fun..
