Flour Dust Fireballs Dust explosions are a phenomena where finely divided materials explode, when as piles of powder or solids they normally would not. This occurs because the the dust is tiny and easy to burn and it is very well mixed with air (specifically the oxygen in the air). Here regular flour is blown into a candle. There were several takes where the candle was extinguished and it seems that once the flour has burned once, the dust does not easily reburn. Do NOT try this at home- this was preformed under safe lab conditions with proper fire-retardation materials in use. La preparazione del LIEVITO NATURALE (chiamato anche lievito acido, pasta acida, lievito madre, pasta madre e crescente) comincia da un impasto di farina e acqua lasciato acidificare spontaneamente (cioè a riposare senza lievito) in un tempo più o meno lungo. Per accelerare la fermentazione si possono aggiungere all'impasto zuccheri che sono il cibo dei lieviti, come frutta (es. mela, uva, pere, albicocche, etc...). Fondamentale per questo processo è la scelta della farina. Le farine vengono macinate a pietra naturale seguendo le caratteristiche dei singoli cereali e lasciate integrali o setacciate senza alterarne i principi nutritivi. L attività artigiana permette di scegliere il meglio e trasformarlo al meglio grazie all'esperienza acquisita sia nella periodica martellatura delle pietre, sia nel seguire costantemente tutte le fasi della trasformazione. La macinazione per mezzo delle pietre consente di avere la presenza del germe nella farina e di ottenerla in un unico passaggio senza scaldarla. Questo procedimento fa si che la sia farina più nutriente, più digeribile e più profumata.
