Beth's First Laryngoscopy - Vocal Cords in Action From the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (with permission). This is what happens when I say "eee" with a camera down my throat. There are no vocal nodules (don't let the mucus confuse you) but you can see a slight thickening of the membrane where the nodes have been / could be in the future.
