The dying King curses his son that he too will die at the hands of his son. The Prince then is crowned the King. Shortly, thereafter his wife gets pregnant, and the King plans to kill his child, in order to foil his dad's curse. His wife gives birth to twins, one of which is left with her, and the other taken away by the King and disposed off in a nearby forest to be eaten by wild beasts. The child in the palace grows up to be Vijay Pratap Singh. The child left in the forest is rescued by a band of snake-charmers, and grows up to be called Mohan. Mohan is in love with Radha, and both plan to marry. But Radha's parents want to marry someone else. So Radha and Mohan decide to elope together. The villagers are angered at this, and question Mohan, who denies eloping with Radha. Mohan is asked to leave the village, and he goes toward Sundergarh, where he finds out that the Prince is his look-alike, and it was Vijay who had eloped with Radha. He approaches Radha, but Radha, who is now called Prem Pyari, refuses to recognize him, nor have anything to do with him. Mohan is heartbroken, severelly beaten and left for dead. He survives, and recovers, bent on avenging his humiliation at the hands of the cruel Radha and Vijay, and he will not let anyone come in his way. Lata Mangeshkar ( born September 28, 1929) is a highly known playback singer in the Indian Hindi movie industry. Mangeshkar's career started in 1942 and has spanned over six decades. She has done playback singing for over 980 Bollywood movies, and has sung songs in over twenty Indian languages. She is the elder sister of the equally accomplished singer, Asha Bhosle.... Awards and recognitions; Lata Mangeshkar has won several awards and honors, including Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), Bharat Ratna (2001), three National Film Awards, and 12 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. She has also won four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards. In 1969, she made the unusual gesture of giving up Filmfare Best Female Playback Award, in order to promote fresh talent. She was later awarded Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993. In 1984, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh instituted the Lata Mangeshkar Award in honor of Lata Mangeshkar. The State Government of Maharashtra also instituted a Lata Mangeshkar Award in 1992. In 1974, The Guinness Book of Records listed Lata Mangeshkar as the most recorded artist in the history, stating that she had reportedly recorded "not less than 25,000 solo, duet and chorus backed songs in 20 Indian languages" between 1948 and 1974. Although the entry has not been printed in Guinness editions since 1991, reputable sources claim that she has recorded thousands of songs, with estimates ranging up to figures as large as 50,000. Lata is the second vocalist to receive "Bharat Ratna", India's highest civilian honour..... Shailendra Singh was a legendary Indian playback singer who sang several popular Hindi songs during the late seventies and the early eighties. He had many hit songs to his credit. The renowned film maker Raj Kapoor gave Singh a break when he signed him for Bobby. The song Main Shayar Tho Nahin became a big hit after which offers started pouring in. His song Humne Tumko Dekha from the film Khel Khel Mein rocked the entire nation. However, his popularity was short lived. He even tried his hand at acting but his debut film flopped...
