NIST clearly states that the 4 test specimens had insulation. On 9/11, the massive force of the impacts dislodged the insulation protecting the steel. It is deceitful to claim that those tests were an attempt to simulate the condition the steel was in after the planes hit. "The reason the towers collapsed is because the fireproofing was dislodged," Dr. Shyam Sunder, lead investigator for NIST. The video says that the tests are on uninsulated steel YET the tests were actually done on insulated steel. The video takes it's quote from "MEASUREMENT OF THE FIRE RESISTANCE OF THE FLOOR SYSTEM" which explains "NIST has found no evidence that fire resistance tests of the WTC floor system were conducted." So they conducted their own tests on the insulation. That way NIST can say that the towers would have not collapsed had the fireproofing stayed on the steel in the impact zone. But the steel column was cut by an ironworker during the clean up. NIST clearly states that the 4 test specimens had insulation. On 9/11, the massive force of the impacts dislodged the insulation protecting the steel. It is deceitful to claim that those tests were an attempt to simulate the condition the steel was in after the planes hit. "The reason the towers collapsed is because the fireproofing was dislodged," Dr. Shyam Sunder, lead investigator for NIST. The video says that the tests are on uninsulated steel YET the tests were actually done on insulated steel. The video takes it's quote from "MEASUREMENT OF THE FIRE RESISTANCE OF THE FLOOR SYSTEM" which explains "NIST has found no evidence that fire resistance tests of the WTC floor system were conducted." So they conducted their own tests on the insulation. That way NIST can say that the towers would have not collapsed had the fireproofing stayed on the steel in the impact zone. But the steel column was cut by an ironworker during the clean up.
