Her sire, Quito della Baia Azzurra, was bred by Dr. Patrizio Donati DVM, of the Italian kennel, Baia Azzurra. Maya has passed all her health tests (heart, hips, thyroid and eyes) and earned her IABCA Championship title last month. Actores: Jean-Marc Barr (Leopold Kessler, un americano en Alemania), Ernst-Hugo Järegård (Señor Kessler, tío de Leopold), Jørgen Reenberg (Max Hartmann, dueño de la línea ferroviaria Zentropa), Barbara Sukowa (Katharina Hartmann, hija de Max). Leopold Kessler, un joven americano va a trabajar en los ferrocarriles alemanes como revisor de coches-cama en Zentropa, una conocida empresa ferroviaria. Es su manera de mostrar un poco de amabilidad a un pueblo que ha sufrido tanto. Allí conoce las duras condiciones de vida de los alemanes de la posguerra y el amor en los brazos de Katharina, la hija del director de Zentropa. Sin embargo el ataque de los Werwolf (terroristas en favor del régimen nazista) y la cruda realidad harán que Leopold Kessler sucumba ante sus ideales. Lars von Trier se basa en la historia de los Werwolf, grupos de guerrillas nazistas que llegaron a actuar incluso después del fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial (eso sí por poco tiempo), para contar esta historia, si bien es cierto que exagera la influencia y el poder que este grupo de guerrilleros tenía entonces. Esta película constituye la última parte de la trilogía Europa, compuesta por El Elemento del Crimen y Epidemia, fue estrenada en Argentina y España y está disponible en castellano. El título internacional de esta película es Zentropa y dio nombre a la productora que actualmente dirigen Lars von Trier y el productor Peter Aalbæk Jensen y que es la mayor de Dinamarca. Manderlay -- (2005) -- V.D. By CineDanes Director: Lars von Trier. Guionista: Lars von Trier. Actores: Bryce Dallas Howard (Grace), Willem Dafoe (el padre de Grace), Lauren Bacall (Mam, una dueña de Manderlay), Isaach De Bankolé (Timothy, uno de los esclavos), Danny Glover (Wilhem, otro esclavo). Marderlay es una plantación esclavista a la que llega Grace, después de haber estado en Dogville. Justo a su llegada muere Mam, la dueña de la plantación. A partir de entonces, Grace tomará el mando de la plantación para convertirla en una empresa en la que todos trabajarán por igual y recibirán la misma cantidad de comida. Aunque los planes no saldrán como ella pensaba y tendrá que tomar medidas, que no esperaba nunca tener que tomar. Esta película constituye la segunda entrega de la trilogía, Estados Unidos, Tierra de Oportunidades. Trilogía que concluirá con el estreno de Wasington, una producción que lleva retrasándose debido a la indisposición de Lars von Trier. A pesar de que Manderlay no gozó de tanta aceptación como Dogville, es un filme muy interesante, con la introspección social característica de este cineasta.
