Werner Günthör (né le 11 juillet 1961 à Uttwil) est un lanceur de poids suisse qui fut triple champion du monde de la discipline (1987, 1991, 1993). En 1987, il établit le record du monde en salle avec un lancer à 22,26 mètres. Le 23 août 1988 à Berne, il lance le poids à 22.75 mètres, soit la 5e performance mondiale de tous les temps. Son entraineur était Jean-Pierre Egger, lui-même un spécialiste renommé dans cette discipline. Jean-Pierre Egger : Parcours Entraîneur, conseiller et préparateur physique de sportifs de haut niveau et d'équipes telles qu'Alinghi, l'Olympique de Marseille ou l'équipe olympique suisse. Ancien athlète d'élite et coach de Werner Günthör, triple champion du monde du lancer du poids. En 1985, a été nommé «Entraîneur de l'année» par l'Association des entraîneurs d'élite de l'Association olympique suisse. Directeur de séminaires pour cadres d'entreprises, notamment sur le thème de la performance en sport et en entreprise. Sunrise at Daytona Beach Sunrise. September 27, 2008. Observe the sunrise and sunset everyday this year and ring a bell when you do. This installment: Sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean. This is the first sunrise I witnessed over the ocean this year and only the second one breaking close to the horizon at all. I love the Atlantic Ocean. Its the ocean I grew up with. Its warm. Its where I learned to swim. It even smells warm. The waves are big but not killers or sneaky like the Pacific. Speaking of killers- there are no great white sharks here, either. Its true that Jaws took place in the Atlantic Ocean, but there are more Great Whites off the coast of San Francisco than here in Florida. There is also a certain hissing sound that accompanies the waves breaking and receding on the shore thats unlike the cold crashing and sweeping on and off the shore of the Pacific Ocean. The Atlantic feels more friendly. Less majestic, but much more inviting. And if you watch the birds along the shore here, they seem more relaxed than the little birds that skitter along the edge of the waves of the Pacific at Ocean Beach.
