Gebirgsjäger, sie sollen auf den Flugplätzen gelandet werden die die Fallschirmjäger inzwischen genommen haben. Wieder über Kreta! Hunderte von Fallschirmjägern zwischen Himmel und Erde, ein weiterer Flugplatz ist zu nehmen. Zerstörer stürzen sicher auf englische Widerstandsnester. Feindliche Maschinen werden am Boden zerstört. Eroberte Stellungen werden sofort zur Verteidigung eingerichtet. Der Flugplatz ist genommen. Der Vernichtungswerk unsere Stukas und Zerstörer. Englische Artillerie nimmt den eroberten Flugplatz sofort unter Feuer. Sie kann jedoch den planmäßigen Fortgang der Landungen nicht verhindern. Gebirgsjäger sammeln sich zum Vormarsch. Seite an Seite mit den Fallschirmjägern nehmen sie den Kampf gegen feindliche Übermacht auf. Die ersten englischen Gefangengen auf Kreta. Ritterkreuzträger General der Flieger [Kurt] Student begrüßt die siegreichen Fallschirmjäger. Das ist die Suda-Bucht. Nach erbitterten Kampf ist der Feind im Weichen. Die Verfolgung wird aufgenommen das Land in vielen Einzelaktionen von Feind gesäubert. Ein Fallschirmjäger muss alles können. Ein erbeutetes englisches Geschütz wird sofort eingesetzt. Am Pfingstmontag gab das Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) durch Sondermeldung bekannt: Kreta ist frei von Feind. Die Kämpfe sind beendet. England hat damit seine Schlüsselstellung zwischen Europa, Asien und Afrika verloren. Das gesamte östliche Mittelmeer liegt jetzt in Bereich der deutschen Luftwaffe. ----- Largescale German Fallschirmjäger (paratroops) operation (Unternehmen Merkur) against the island of Crete in WWII.
