Jabbawockeez on Pepsi Smash Some common questions: What are the name of the songs? First one is Noize by Fingerbangerz. Second one is Jabba Ngo by Fingerbangerz. Why are there 10 Jabbawockeez, I thought there were only 6 members? On ABDC, there was a limit to how many people could be on the show. Crews had to consist of 5 to 7 people. And Jabbawockeez currently have 10 members. Therefore, the 6 who did the show did it because they could afford to. (And of course, Gary Gee One Kendall was supposed to be the 7th member performing on the show, but sadly he passed away around the time of the audition). The other 4 that were not on the show had other obligations that prevented them from being involved with the show, BUT they are still all members of the Jabbawockeez crew. Jabbawockeez perform on Pepsi Smash 9 of the 10 current members perform here. It shows the lovable Pleo dinosaur in action along with Ugobe founder Caleb Chung and Chief Technology Office John Sosoka. Note: I have an inexpensive video camera. Combine that with the fact the coffee shop was noisy and that many people were talking together, and you will understand why I redid the audio. I did not want these elements to take away from the magic and awe I felt watching Pleo. However, the video is 100% Pleo and the sounds are too. The music was something I added to help convey just how I deeply I was moved at this powerful event in my life. Fusion Hip Hop Dance Competition FUSION X: Creative Rebellion April 19th, 2009 On Sunday, April 19th, 2009, UC San Diego's Multi-Asian Student Association (MASA) and 220 Second to None dance team, will once again join forces to host FUSION, the largest hip hop dance competition in the West Coast. With this being our 10th year anniversary, FUSION will unite highly talented dancers of all ages and ethnicities from across the country to celebrate music through various dance styles and cultural exhibitions. This year's theme, "Creative Rebellion," will showcase the very essence of how hip hop music was brought to the forefront. It has grown to be an international phenomenon, and the mission of FUSION is to enlighten everyone of its impact outside the borders of the United States. In addition, young Asian-Americans are becoming increasingly prominent in their own Creative Rebellion, as more and more are being recognized in dance, music, and film. With these in mind, MASA and 220 strive to promote cultural awareness in the hip hop community. Since its inception in 1999, attendance to this event has increased about 400% as FUSION is now the largest student-run and Asian-directed event at UCSD. FUSION has long been an avenue for many of today's most popular crews, including Kaba Modern & Team Millennia. Last year, with the culture's ever-growing popularity, FUSION hit a record-breaking audience of over 3,000 attendees, and sold out the tickets days before the show date. With the first ever "Event Of The Year" from the Annual V-ENT Dance Awards under its belt, and a current nomination for the second year in a row, FUSION is forecasting to grow even larger.
