Ощутимые потери понесли и кафиры, остатки которых стали быстро ретироваться с поля боя, вызвав по моджахедам огонь со стороны оккупационной группировки, дислоцированной на окраине села Хаттуни Веденского района. Вскоре в воздух поднялись боевые вертолёты кафиров, а также начался артобстрел возможного пути отхода моджахедов, который и зафиксирован на видеосъёмках.
