[View \| Download]	Anatomy of Apple Design By transparenthouse About the project and FAQ Transparent House used its visualization capabilities to create a tribute to a company they greatly admire on the occasion of the iPad release. The idea was to show a glimpse into the history of this product giant by modeling some of the innovative products they've developed in their 3+ decade history. The animation was done entirely using 3Ds Max and V-Ray render and took about 10 days to complete. Professionally done 3D visualization is the perfect tool to present concepts or new products in a beautiful, photoreal style, while creating a mood with music and conveying a message, through on-screen text or narration. This animation was an artistic exercise and not intended for commercial use. The animation is not affiliated with Apple or any third-party companies. We hope this animation will be used mainly as an educational tool for the 3d visualization or/and design industry. To answer some of the FAQ: - Yes. Everything you see in the animation is done completely in CG. We didn't go through any kind of "trouble" to create this animation. We do visualization for the living and this particular exercise was so much fun! - We only used photographs available on the web for the modeling. - We didn't include iMacs, iPods, Nanos and other products in the animation since we wanted to show products which in our opinion better relate to iPad. I created it using pieces from many designs (it's a kitbash), I merged them using anim8or, I edited the textures with paint and paint shop pro 5 and added them with 3d exploration. I created the animations with celestia and added the effects with adobe after effects. What inspired me was Gabriel Koerner's reimagined design. [View \| Download]	The Romulan Incident By startrekking2 This is an epic Star Trek space battle, made in 3d animation with celestia and after effects, based upon the alternate reality created in the new Star Trek film (2009). For this video I used new effects, for instance the shaky camera one, and a new way of filming inspired by JJ Abrams work on Star Trek. I have never done a video like this before, every effect has been created ad hoc for this video (from the phaser effect to the warp jump one) and the new USS Enterprise and USS Constitution have been retextured. All of the videos I published before that showed some of these new effects, were only tests ("USS Enterprise (2009) in action" included).
