Comparado por su original retrato adolescente con joyitas como "Election" de Alexander Payne, el film nos presenta a Juno (Page), una joven que se ha quedado embarazada de un compañero de instituto (Cera). En lugar de abortar, decide dar a su futuro hijo en adopción a una pareja (Bateman y Garner) que no pueden tener hijos.
