Conan the Barbarian - Deleted Scene - Moby Dick The story behind this is one of the producers hated the guy that played Subotai and wanted to overdub his voice with a different sounding actor. In an act of defiance, John Milius went out and found an actor who sounded almost exactly like the original actor to do the dub. This scene wasn't in the original release, so the actor is saying his own lines here, it's the only part of the film you can now hear the original actor's voice on, that's why it sounds a little different. (Thanks to lucasplayer for that info) If you watch the collector's DVD with the commentary on, Milius explains that this scene reminds him of a similar scene in Moby Dick.
