Girls assaulted in Mangalore pub by Sri Ram Sena and Bajrang Dal activists The National Commission for Women (NCW) has reacted sharply to the shocking incident of assault on girls at Mangalore pub allegedly by Sri Ram Sena and Bajrang Dal activists. A TV grab shows a girl being assaulted at a Mangalore pub. Sri Ram Sena, saying the NCW will be taking up the case suo motto. Nirmala Venkatesh, Member NCW said that the National Commission for Women will take up the issue and make sure that the girls get justice. Around 40 people, on Saturday, reportedly barged into a pub on Balmatta Road and viciously attacked girls who were at the pub. At least two girls have been hospitalized and are being treated. Reacting angrily to this horrifying incident, Women's Rights activist Madhu Kishwar said that the attackers have good political links and are a part of extortionist gang. She went on to add, "The attack is an attempt to spread terror amongst restaurant owners in the city. They cannot just keep expressing their anger over Americanized lifestyle in this manner." Ranjana Kumar, another Women's Rights activist condemned the attack and strongly said that the men involved in this attack should be charged for assaulting women. She said, "This is an outrageous and a horrible incident. No one has the right to infringe on other's freedom. Such kind of acts is absolutely unacceptable. Those responsible should be immediately arrested and strict action should be taken against them." Because these kinds of attackers are let free, such attacks continue all across the country. I don't think these people had any business to get involved in others lives, added the activist. Take stringent action on those who assaulted pub customers. The assault on customers of a pub by the Ram Sena activists was an act of "inhuman behaviour" and stringent action should be initiated against the culprits, senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily said. "It should be condemned by all and the culprits should be punished with stringent action", Moily told. People who take law into their own hands should be dealt with severely, he said, adding, it is the duty of police to look into "illegal activities". On Saturday evening at around 4 pm, two people approached the front desk of the pub and requested permission to enter the premises. They said that they wanted to see what was going on inside. Soon, nearly 40 people barged into the pub and targeted a group of five girls, who had placed a lunch order. Subsequently, another group attacked three other girls in the pub. According to one staff member, some of the assailants molested the girl customers. Some of the staff members and the men, who were accompanying the women, were assaulted when they came to the rescue of the girls. Claiming responsibility for the attack, state deputy convenor of the Sene Prasad Attavar said that it was a spontaneous reaction against women, who flouted traditional Indian norms of decency. He said these girls were Hindus who dared to get close to Muslim men. The reports suggested that Sri Ram Sena and the Bajarang Dal have also separately claimed the responsibility for the attack. [HD] ArmA 2 - Multiplayer Choppers and Infantry Here is some multiplayer footage from some of the German ArmA 2 servers that are currently up for LEGIT players to play on. The pirates out there (you know who you are) cannot access them since they do not have legit keys. You'll see several minutes of me engaging a number of enemy vehicles in a AH-1 Cobra, along with a brief UH-1Y Huey flight which results in getting shot down while also killing the infantry who hit me at the same time, ending with some infantry engagements. This footage was taken using the German version which was legally purchased from petergames.de, and then a patch was applied to convert the text to English. ArmA 2 should be out in non-German territories sometime in June or July 2009. Update: US fans can order an English version box copy of ArmA 2 at GoGamer.com. AK-47 vs AR-15 Part 5, by Nutnfancy PART 5 of 5: Nutnfancy tackling the often controversial issue of the AK-47 versus AR-15 rifle systems. The bottom line is, a quality example of either gun can serve your law enforcement, military, and "civilian sheepdog" requirements admirably. However many factors and considerations should come into play when selecting your choice. When properly maintained and lubricated, the AR-15 is very reliable contrary to many internet, forum, and magazine myths. However it does not rise to the absolute, carefree ruggedness and reliability of the AK design. Whether packed in mud, neglected for cleaning, or just plain thrashed upon, the AK shrugs it all off and continues to shuck rounds with pleasing and life-saving regularity. It is better than the AR-15 system in that regard. It also features a lightning quick and easy fieldstrip. However the AK design has many flaws which include: poorer ergonomics (like its munchkin length of pull), shorter sight radius and inferior sights, heavier magazines and ammunition, difficulty in mounting optics (less variety in application too), slower operational controls, and more recoil. But many accept these shortcomings to gain the increase in stopping power of the larger .30 caliber round. As shown in the video, this 7.62x39mm round pretty much dies after 300 yards but within its range, it hits hard and defeats obstacles much better than the smaller 5.56x45mm offering. However the AR-15 can easily be had in either a 6.5 SPC or Grendel chambering which nullifies this advantage (and the AK can be had in the 5.45x39mm load which has similar ballistics to the 5.56). Both systems enjoy adequate firepower, multitudes of accessory options, good service record (AK has better reliability record however), and similar value (subject to change). I respect the reliability, simplicity, ruggedness, and shooting fun of the AK design. For a "mud gun," it still reigns supreme. However in terms of ergonomics, its amazing versatility, the lighter weight of mags and ammo, superior accuracy, and the longer range capabilities (especially with 77 gr loads), the AR-15 is a more capable weapons system. Takistani Army is equipped with a mixture of Cold-War-era equipment of both Eastern and Western bloc origin, supplied during the interregnum of 1988-91. Local or supreme warlords command and control military manpower across local tribal forces. Several main factions control military vehicles and aircraft either stolen from or supplied by the Soviets; however, their numbers and capabilities are limited. Armed with FN FALs, AKS-74s rifles, PKMs and other personal weapons, soldiers usually wear distinct steel helmets and khaki or lizard-patterned uniforms; special military police forces also wear black turbans. The Takistan army chiefly employs Soviet Cold-War era vehicles: T-34, T-55 and T-72 tanks, BRDM-2 personnel carriers, UAZ cars and V3S trucks. Military vehicles are painted in irregular amorphous-shaped fields of desert yellow and dark green. The Takistani Air Force uses the Mi-24D helicopter gunships, L-39ZA light attack aircraft and Mi-8 transport helicopters. The close air support role is provided by type Su-25 aircraft. Special weapons regiments are known to exist, which can deploy a stockpile of SS-1c Scud-B missiles. It is also believed that secret weapons development programmes have sought to produce and procure chemical WMDs, as a result of Soviet-backed schemes aimed at maximizing regional influence. And so it began again, on the cold and gloomy dawn. The SHC had planned this for months, and the Tediz were ready for them. Some of these are tough while others can sometimes be ridiculously easy! I beat Chapter X a few times and found some great strategies for most of the maps. This is the First match of chapter X. Note that this is played offline as if it's a single player game even though it uses the Multiplayer levels. The A.I. and large enemy numbers make this mode difficult and fun. The single player mode is considered to be a remake of the 2001 game Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 game console, though with heavier censorship. The largest change has been the addition of a new multiplayer mode. Gameplay Single player Conker's Bad Fur Day The single player game is essentially the same as the original Conker's Bad Fur Day, but includes improvements to graphics and sound with a slight addition to story at the training level. A multiplayer version of the game is introduced in Live & Reloaded, and follows the use of the same third-person perspective as the single player game. Multiplayer consists of different game modes such as Capture the Flag or the standard Deathmatch modes. The player may participate as a member of the SHC or the Tediz. As well as a choice of soldier, the game follows as "classes". Each class has its own special equipment, special abilities, and physical capabilities. Each class is designed for a distinct purpose, and more often than not, the class a player chooses will determine that player's fighting strategy. With each class designed to have advantages against certain classes while being vulnerable to others. For example, the Thermophile's flamethrower inflicts extreme damage on Sneekers and Long Rangers, who have less health, but is virtually useless against the high-vitality Demolisher. Each class comes equipped with a primary weapon with unlimited ammunition, (although reloading of the weapon is still required), a limited stock of grenades, and at least one special ability. The classes also can choose from several specialist ordnance items and vehicles unique to each class, which can be obtained at stations in team bases (however, an option is available to the host of a server to disable one or both features). Abilities common to all classes are the ability to shoulder all weapons for extra running speed, and a Spray Can that can be used to apply the player's avatar image to walls to mock human opponents. Scattered throughout the arenas are yellow Upgrade Orbs, which grant a player more equipment and abilities when obtained. A player loses his upgrade orb upon death, allowing another player to obtain it. Terminals are found in every mission, usually near a base. Terminals are computers that dispense useful items or vehicles, and can be accessed by a player during the game. When accessed, the player is given a menu of the available items. When an item is chosen it can be picked up at an adjacent dispenser area. The objects received from the terminals disappear upon the death of the player that obtained them. Terminals may be neutral and available to both sides, or under the control of one side. Terminals can be attacked and disabled, but not destroyed. If damaged or disabled, they can be repaired with an arc weld, issued to the Demolisher and Sky Jockey classes. Etc.
