At first, he only displayed his moves at church alleys, radio show contests, and whenever he was on the losing end of a bet. However, w hen he entered UC irvine in 2004 as an economics major, he joineKaba Modern, which changed his life. In a few short years, he became director of Kaba Modern.During his year as director in 2007, Kaba Modern won 1 st Place in the USA at Hip Hop Internationals , and 2 nd Place in the World. Mike went on to represent the team in the first season of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. Since then, he has traveled extensively (both domestically and internationally), to perform and teach, and hopefully, inspire others to dance and promote positivity . He has also judged and battled at various dance events. In 2007, Mike won 1 st place at the Annual In the Spotlight Battle in Southern California. Mike has taught workshops in Guam , Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Norway , Hawaii , Mexico, South Africa , and continues to travel and teach around the world. The Story goes: Blonde lover Tarin is in love with Dejan and drifs away in a happy melody dancing with him. They lean in to kiss and gets interupted by Glenda who walks Dejan off, assuring him he'll be better off with her. Her Mini-Me Gabriel helps Dejan off as Glenda and her group show Tarin that Glenda deserves Dejan. Tarin then gets up, marks her territory and shows that she will not stand for that. As she leaves, her angels who have been watching up top the whole time continue the story. As you think they are on Tarin's side (wearing th same color and mask as Tarin), you soon learn that the Gabriel and his angels join forces with Glenda and the dark side. As they finish, Glenda assures Gabriel she has it from here and brings out Tarin for the final battle. Tarin soon learns that she has lost the battle. She comes out one more time to confront Gabriel for betraying her, he escapes laughing and she slowly gives up, she hits her heart one last time before waking to show that she may die but her heart never will. As everyone teams up, and is there to witness the death, Glenda walks towards Tarin, slowly, and finishes her off, slitting her neck. [View \| Download]	Fusion Hip Hop Dance Competition FUSION X: Creative Rebellion April 19th, 2009 On Sunday, April 19th, 2009, UC San Diego's Multi-Asian Student Association (MASA) and 220 Second to None dance team, will once again join forces to host FUSION, the largest hip hop dance competition in the West Coast. With this being our 10th year anniversary, FUSION will unite highly talented dancers of all ages and ethnicities from across the country to celebrate music through various dance styles and cultural exhibitions. This year's theme, "Creative Rebellion," will showcase the very essence of how hip hop music was brought to the forefront. It has grown to be an international phenomenon, and the mission of FUSION is to enlighten everyone of its impact outside the borders of the United States. In addition, young Asian-Americans are becoming increasingly prominent in their own Creative Rebellion, as more and more are being recognized in dance, music, and film. With these in mind, MASA and 220 strive to promote cultural awareness in the hip hop community. Since its inception in 1999, attendance to this event has increased about 400% as FUSION is now the largest student-run and Asian-directed event at UCSD. FUSION has long been an avenue for many of today's most popular crews, including Kaba Modern & Team Millennia. Last year, with the culture's ever-growing popularity, FUSION hit a record-breaking audience of over 3,000 attendees, and sold out the tickets days before the show date. With the first ever "Event Of The Year" from the Annual V-ENT Dance Awards under its belt, and a current nomination for the second year in a row, FUSION is forecasting to grow even larger. The event showcases performers from all over the nation and has viewers across the globe. The Story goes: Blonde lover Tarin is in love with Dejan and drifs away in a happy melody dancing with him. They lean in to kiss and gets interupted by Glenda who walks Dejan off, assuring him he'll be better off with her. Her Mini-Me Gabriel helps Dejan off as Glenda and her group show Tarin that Glenda deserves Dejan. Tarin then gets up, marks her territory and shows that she will not stand for that. As she leaves, her angels who have been watching up top the whole time continue the story. As you think they are on Tarin's side (wearing th same color and mask as Tarin), you soon learn that the Gabriel and his angels join forces with Glenda and the dark side. As they finish, Glenda assures Gabriel she has it from here and brings out Tarin for the final battle. Tarin soon learns that she has lost the battle. She comes out one more time to confront Gabriel for betraying her, he escapes laughing and she slowly gives up, she hits her heart one last time before waking to show that she may die but her heart never will. As everyone teams up, and is there to witness the death, Glenda walks towards Tarin, slowly, and finishes her off, slitting her neck. [View \| Download]	Fusion Hip Hop Dance Competition FUSION X: Creative Rebellion April 19th, 2009 On Sunday, April 19th, 2009, UC San Diego's Multi-Asian Student Association (MASA) and 220 Second to None dance team, will once again join forces to host FUSION, the largest hip hop dance competition in the West Coast. With this being our 10th year anniversary, FUSION will unite highly talented dancers of all ages and ethnicities from across the country to celebrate music through various dance styles and cultural exhibitions. This year's theme, "Creative Rebellion," will showcase the very essence of how hip hop music was brought to the forefront. It has grown to be an international phenomenon, and the mission of FUSION is to enlighten everyone of its impact outside the borders of the United States. In addition, young Asian-Americans are becoming increasingly prominent in their own Creative Rebellion, as more and more are being recognized in dance, music, and film. With these in mind, MASA and 220 strive to promote cultural awareness in the hip hop community. Since its inception in 1999, attendance to this event has increased about 400% as FUSION is now the largest student-run and Asian-directed event at UCSD. FUSION has long been an avenue for many of today's most popular crews, including Kaba Modern & Team Millennia. Last year, with the culture's ever-growing popularity, FUSION hit a record-breaking audience of over 3,000 attendees, and sold out the tickets days before the show date. With the first ever "Event Of The Year" from the Annual V-ENT Dance Awards under its belt, and a current nomination for the second year in a row, FUSION is forecasting to grow even larger. The event showcases performers from all over the nation and has viewers across the globe. Arranged by the efforts solely of college students, the success of FUSION rests on the diligence and determination of MASA and 220.
