[View \| Download]	D-Day: Juno Beach Landing http://www.wwii.ca This is footage of the Canadians landing on Juno Beach - June 6, 1944. Specificly the first wave of Canadian solders from the North Shore Regiment (3rd Canadian Division) at Nan sector, Juno beach. The video was captured by a camera on board the landing craft. Canadian soldiers hit the beaches and began the deadliest run of their lives. As they worked their way through the obstacles and minefields they came into the killing zones of the German gun positions. 340 Canadians died out of 1,074 total casualties on June 6th. The British MP Mrs. Mavis Tate visits Buchenweld concentration camp and witnesses some of the atrocities and results of horrific and inhumane war crimes that were carried out there. Some of the liberated prisoners are seen, as are mass graves and scenes of destruction, and the ovens which were used to incinerate the murdered detainees. Former inmates in an outburst of anger brandishes his walking stick and tries to hit a guard, inmates then smash the guards' offices.
