This video presents events that stopped the world from turning. Let us reflect the last decade with this video, and let's see what the next decade holds in store for us all. I did NOT compile the list of events in chronological order, because I felt that would bore my viewers. A la vez, Uribe Vélez y su política guerrerista, paramilitar y Pro Norte Americana ayuda a que se profundice en Colombia un modelo económico caracterizado por la más grande acumulación y concentración de capital y tierra en unas pocas manos de grandes burgueses y terratenientes, mientras el capital financiero Estado Unidense controla las arterias vitales de la economía, garantizándole que Colombia continuará siendo una fiel neocolonia de recursos a su servicios. Álvaro Uribe nació en una familia de la granburguesía antioqueña, vinculada también a la gran propiedad terrateniente y al negocio del narcotráfico. El libro Los Jinetes de Cocaína de Fabio Castillo, relata que su padre, Alberto Uribe Sierra, era un conocido narcotraficante que fue arrestado una vez para ser extraditado, pero Jesús Aristizábal Guevara, entonces Secretario de Gobierno de la ciudad de Medellín, logró ponerlo en libertad. Uribe Sierra fue muerto por la guerrilla por sus actividades contrainsurgentes. El periodista de El Espectador Fernando Garavito -ahora exiliado por amenazas en su contra -ha señalado que durante el tiempo que Uribe fue director de la Agencia de Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia de 1980 a 1982 -numerosas licencias de piloto fueron dadas al Cartel de Medellín -permitiendo a sus pilotos volar con grandes cantidades de cocaína fuera de Colombia y hacia o dentro de los Estados Unidos. A partir de un programa auspiciado por los Estados Unidos a través de la Universidad de Harvard, se capacitó cerca de 50.000 antioqueños en "Negociación Pacífica de conflictos". Este proyecto sirvió para crear las Asociaciones Comunitarias "Convivir", en 1994 y cuyos miembros podían realizar agresiones y asesinatos contra poblaciones, mientras el Estado y las fuerzas de seguridad les garantizaban el secreto y la cobertura. Estas cooperativas fueron utilizadas por los terratenientes y los narcotraficantes para aplicar la política contrainsurgente de "tierra arrasada" en numerosas zonas campesinas y en la misma capital antioqueña. Fue con las Convivir que los paramilitares lograron su despliegue nacional, se consolidaron en Antioquia en el Nudo de Paramillo e ingresaron al eje bananero de Urabá asesinando y desplazando a miles de campesinos. Numerosos documentos y expedientes, hoy silenciados evidencian la vinculación de Uribe Vélez en operaciones paramiliatares. El Folio 66 de ASFADDES - Bogotá, lo relaciona con el asesinato de los estudiantes Jorge Ivan Alarcón y Edgar Augusto Monsalve en 1995. Cuando en 1997 se habían detenido algunos implicados, entre ellos funcionarios de la gobernación, estos fueron liberados y reintegrados a sus cargos por orden del gobernador de Antioquia. De acuerdo a un documento firmado por el jefe de la DEA Donnie R. Marshall el 3 de agosto de 2001, varios aviones fueron capturados con cargamentos de insumos para la producción de coca. Las naves se dirigían a Medellín, a nombre de una empresa llamada GMP Productos Químicos. Las 50 toneladas del precursor químico destinadas a GMP eran suficientes para fabricar 500 toneladas de hidroclorato de cocaína, con un valor en la calle de 15 mil millones de dólares. El dueño de GMP Productos Químicos, de acuerdo al reporte de 2001 del jefe de la DEA, es Pedro Juan Moreno Villa, el jefe de campaña, ex secretario de gobierno y, por mucho tiempo, mano derecha del actual candidato a la presidencia de Colombia Álvaro Uribe Vélez.
