Two male members (Rajat Bedi & Siddharth) try to sexually molest Divya, and get a sound thrashing from Karan. After apologizing, these two members decide to avenge their beating and humiliation. After entrapping Divya, they sexually molest her to such an extent that Divya attempts to kill herself. Unknown to Divya, she was the lover of Kapil (Arman Kohli), a snake with magical powers, in a previous life. Their love life was shattered by an angry sage who cursed them with separation until the 21st century. Divya, who was called Vasundhara in her previous life, dies after this curse, and is reborn as Divya. Now seeing Divya dying, Kapil swears to avenge her death by killing them one by one. Divya does die, but her spirit has survived and joins Kapil to avenge her humiliation and death, not against the two members, but against all the male members. Soon death visits the friends one by one, and no one can stop the killing. Ayyaa Ayyaa is a kind hearted human being. The story opens in the year 1971 when the whole of Tamil Nadu is under the clutches of famine. Ayyaa and his friend Madasami go to the MLA of their constituency, however the MLA refuses to help them out and moreover he smuggles the load of foodgrains sent by the centre for the sake of the villagers. When the villagers come to know about it they attack the MLA's consignment and in the ensuing fight the MLA gets killed by Ayyaa. The villagers together take the blame on themselves and save Ayyaa, but Ayyaa being a good human being carries the guilt all along his life. In the following Assembly election they force Ayyaa to contest the election, Ayyaa wins and stays put as an independent MLA for the next 34 years. However the MLA's son Karupusami is out to avenge his fathers death. He keeps on contesting against Ayyaa in the elections and keeps on trying to kill him for 18 years unsuccessfully. After death, Neel wishes good luck to Parasu and Agastya -- as he travels amidst clouds dressed in his typical "Upendra" style. He is sent to China by his guru, who requests him to stop the spread of a pandemic disease existing there from spreading to India. However after few years, when he expresses his desire to return to India, the villagers plot to poison him and bury him near the temple, believing that their place would be disease free if he is buried there. Bodhidharma agrees to die and subsequently becomes a fundamental figure in Chinese history, affectionately being dubbed as "Damo". The film switches to modern day China, where Dong Lee (Johnny Tri Nguyen) is given the task of starting a government planned biological war against India, known as Operation Red. Dong Lee starts this operation by injecting a virus into a street dog. This disease was the one which occurred during the time of Bodhidharma in China. Meanwhile Subha Srinivasan (Shruti Haasan) researched that Bodhidharma can be brought back to life if his sample of DNA is matched with another sample of DNA which she finds in Aravind (Suriya) a descendant of Bodhidharma who is working as Circus artist in Chennai. Shuba tries to give life to Bodhidharma to end the menace of Dong Lee. But Dong Lee, who is capable of doing anything, does all impossibly bad things, mastered in 'Nokku Varmam' (Hypnotism), a martial art which was actually taught to the Chinese by Bodhidharma. Subha with the help of her friends from her genetic department tries to activate the Bodhidharma DNA in Aravind in a research centre. But Dong Lee traces Subha and her friends with the help of Subha's professor who had received a huge sum of money from the China government. But after Dong Lee traces them he then kills the professor. Dong Lee then locates the place of the research centre. Subha and her friends in the research centre try to escape in a van but Dong Lee chases them and the van collapses. Aravind gets beaten badily by Dong Lee at first, but then Arvind manages to regain Bodhidharma skills somehow in spite of the sunrays hitting him on his face which was not supposed to happen and a day before he was estimated to regain his skills. Then Aravind gets Bodhidharma's talent and defeats Dong Lee. Finally, Aravind eradicates the virus spreading. The film ends with him giving a lecture about the need for us to remember our history and to teach all our practices in the name of science and not god.
