Kaushiki Chakrabarty sings the first part of 'Yaad Piya Ki Aaye', a semi-classical thumri-piece, more specific: a dadra. The song was created, sung and made famous by Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. This is a recording of Kaushiki's concert in the Royal Tropical Institute of Amsterdam, on April 15th, 2007. The pictures are stills of my video-interview with Kaushiki a few days before this concert, an interview that was used for my video-portrait on her that's published here on my youtube-channel.
