Teenage girl faces sexual humiliation, torture and the threat of rape Hayat Erguibi is a 19 year old teenage girl from Western Sahara, a territory occupied by Morocco. She describes her ordeal and suffering in the hands of a police commander, as she faced sexual humiliation, torture and the threat of being raped by the local police. The incident took place on 22 February 2009. The UN has a force in Western Sahara to carry out a referendum on independence, but Morocco refuse sto cooperate with the UN, and oppress those who work to have the referendum implemented. Demand from the international community that the UN monitors the human rights violations committed by Moroccan authorities in Western Sahara.
