GLiP Project - Demo Demo of the GLiP project. Each block is made of a 8x8 RGB LED Matrix and a home-designed board based on a STM32 microcontroller running the FreeRTOS real-time operating system. They are able to communicate through IrDA (infrared) connections and each board has four emitters and four receivers, one pair on each side. As shown, GLiP can be used as a puzzle game or the new position of a block can be automatically computed. For more information, please visit our website: http://www.glip.fr/ This project was made by 4 students of Télécom ParisTech as part of the Embedded Systems Architecture course (ELECINF344/ELECINF381) also known as ROSE ("Robotique et Systèmes Embarqués"). A Bulbdial Clock on the window sill http://bulbdial.com/ One minute in the life of a bulbdial clock, sitting on our window sill on a partly cloudy day. This is an "indoor sundial" clock that has three rings of LEDs that create shadow hands of different length on the clock face. While the camera doesn't capture it very well, the spots of light cast by the ultrabright LEDs are brilliant red, green, and blue. Fire extinguisher striking clock This is my fire extinguisher striking clock in action. It looks a bit Al-qaedian but it just strikes the time like any regular bell striking clock. The fire extinguisher must be a CO2 type. Other types of extinguishers do not sound this good. Schematic is based on Arduino and is available together with the building instructions at http://www.5volt.eu Just be careful as to where you display your clock. Also, remember that fire extinguishers are safety devices : never impair their accessibility or use. NerdKits Robotic Xylophone with Homemade Solenoids In this video tutorial we document how we built our robotic xylophone. We take this opportunity to not only describe how we built the xylophone from scratch, but we we also cover solenoids, a little bit of the theory of electromagnets, and even shift registers! As always, we explain the concepts behind the project as well as provide the source code so you can work these ideas into your own projects. For a complete description of this project, please visit our video tutorial page at: http://www.nerdkits.com/videos/robotic_xylophone/ Tags: LED, MOSFET, actuator, bar, bend, coil, electromagnet, electromagnetic, electromechanical, flex, inductive, load, magnet, microcontroller, music, neodymium, nerdkits, permanent, project, register, shift, solenoid, switch, vibrate, xylophone 1 Downloads - Last from: (Your Blog here!) |

DIY LED CLOCK This is a clock made of DIY seven segment display. Every segment is made of 3 blue LEDs so I got a pretty big size display. I used a ATMega328 micro-controller with arduino bootloader and for the time I used a real time clock IC. This is not the final version I still need to put it in a nice case and hide all the wires. The clock has a function for showing date and setting time manually. Wanna make one?
