Nagarangalil Chennu Raparkkam Kunjoottan is a young innocent man and is the only heir to a rich aristocratic parents Thampuran and Kunjulakshmi. Kunjoottan doesn't like his father for his over protective nature. The family astrologer Pannikker predicts that Kunjootan will not survive after the age of 30. Upon hearing this his father hires two men Valiya Raman Nair and Cheriya Raman Nair to protect Kunjoottan. This act annoys Kunjoottan further. One day Ramachandran, a childhood friend of Kunjoottan returns to the village with tales of the colourful life of the city. In reality Ramachandran needs money to pay off his debts and he tricks Kunjoottan to steal money from his father. By the time Kunjoottan realizes the true intentions of his friend he loses all the money in the city. What follows next is a series of comic mishappenings that include abduction of a girl named Asha.
