The plot revolves around Shandana and Hyder who have been married for eight years but are now having problems in their marriage. Shandana and her daughter go to Murree, to spend holidays with Shandana's parents (Durreshahwar and Mansoor). She cannot help envying her mother who has a devoted husband and is very happy, and subconsciously keeps comparing her husband with her father -- until she learns that life is never a bed of roses and her mother's happiness didn't come easy. Shandana is a highly strung woman. In trying to maintain a balance between running a household, raising a child, fulfilling the demands of a career, and keeping a husband happy, she seems to have lost her soul somewhere along the line, causing her to be irritable and short tempered with everyone around her. Haider, her husband, and Sophee, her daughter, are both understandably angry with her, causing her to become even more defensive, and therefore pricklier. Flashbacks suggest that the life of Shandana's mother (Durre Shehwar) was not always so rosy; she has had to learn to adjust and perhaps make sacrifices along the way. With Shandana coming back to her parents' home, it remains to be seen as to how lessons from Durre Shehwar's past can teach Shandana how to fix her present. Brother brings examples from QURAN and Sahee Hadeeth about the ANBIYA ASWS and the Muslim Ummah from the previous nations who stood firm on LA ILAHA ILLALAH once they understood the meaning of it. Examples from the Soldiers of Mohammed e Kareem Ibn Abdullah ASWS and AIMA (RA) of this Ummah. We've all heard these examples from many speakers from various devient sects but they dont explain that what was it that held them firm and why did they suffer all this. What was it that made them go through all this FITNAH and FASSAAD leaving their families and loved ones and sacrifying everything. It was nothing but for the sake of TAWHEED of ALLAH SWT. We don't find the reasons in their (Corrupt Ulemas) speeches today as to why? Its either they dont know or they dont want to tell people because if they do then people will be Freed from their slavery and they will realise the reality of LA ILAHA ILLALAH and the peace and firmness it brings into one's life. May ALLAH SWT give us Tawfeeq to stand firm on Tawheed of ALLAH JALLAH SHANAHU and may this lecture be of benefit to all our sincere brothers and sisters.
