Basshunter describes his own music as Eurodance, while others may also interpret it as electro, club, and other electronic music genres. He has become famous for his songs "Boten Anna" (about an Internet Relay Chat bot) and "Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA" (about Warcraft 3's Reign of Chaos/The Frozen Throne custom map "Defense of the Ancients"), in part owing to their references to geek culture. Biography Jonas Altberg aka, Basshunter, was born December 22, 1984 in Halmstad, Sweden. He lived with his parents and younger brother near Tylösand, a famous Swedish beach. He started to produce music in 1999 with the computer program Fruity Loops, and released his first album, The Bassmachine, through his own home page in 2004. His interest in music became greater as he progressed. After several demo songs spread over the Internet, he started to get phone calls from dance clubs that wanted to hire him as a DJ. In April 2006, he signed his first real contract with Warner Music. He released his first single, "Boten Anna", in Scandinavia and it became a hit instantly. Boten Anna was the first ever Swedish language song to make number 1 on the Dutch Top 40 Chart, and the English language version ("Now You're Gone") was number 1 on the UK Singles Chart in 2008. When Basshunter reached 50,000 friends on MySpace he celebrated by releasing "Beer in the Bar - Myspace edit" and chatting via webcam with his MySpace friends through MSN Messenger. Afterwards he mentioned his computer had crashed due to the high number of people he was chatting with. As of 2007, Basshunter has been working on his new album. He released "Camilla" so far. Altberg has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome--a condition he spent a lot of energy dealing with while growing up and has only gradually overcome. Chips CHiPs è un telefilm statunitense andato in onda tra il 1977 e il 1983 sulla rete televisiva NBC. In Italia viene spesso riproposto da diverse emittenti.Il telefilm racconta le avventure di due Chippies (agenti della California Highway Patrol) di pattuglia sulle immense freeway di Los Angeles. I due agenti, che vestono caratteristiche uniformi color kaki e montano due motociclette Kawasaki 900 Police nelle prime due serie e poi Kawasaki 1000 Police, sono interpretati da Erik Estrada (agente Francis Llwellyn Poncherello) e Larry Wilcox (agente Jonathan Baker). Al fianco della coppia si succedono vari personaggi: il sergente Getraer (Robert Pine), Brodie Greer (Baricza), Paul Linke (Grossman) per tutto il periodo, Harlan il meccanico (Lou Wagner) dalla seconda stagione, Brianne Leary (2° stagione), Randi Oakes (3° - 5° stagione) e Tina Gayle (6° stagione) nei panni rispettivamente di Sindy Cahill, Bonnie Clark e Kathy Linahan. In seguito Larry Wilcox abbandona il cast nel 1982. Tom Reilly veniva scelto per il ruolo dell'agente Bobby Nelson successore di Jon Baker al fianco di Ponch nella sesta serie. Infine anche Tom Reilly abbandona il telefilm e così dalla terzultima puntata Bruce Penhall (Bruce Nelson) diplomatosi all'accademia diviene compagno di Ponch. La centrale di polizia dove è stato girato il telefilm è la vera Central LOS ANGELES AREA della California Highway Patrol all'incrocio tra la Harbor e Santa Monica Freeway al numero 777 di West Washington Blvd, oggi totalmente ristrutturata. Dalla Terza Stagione la gran parte delle scene sono state girate in una identica centrale ricostruita fedelmente presso gli MGM studios. CHiPs is a American television drama series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (licensee by Turner Entertainment) that originally aired on NBC from September 15, 1977 to July 17, 1983. CHiPs follows the lives of two motorcycle police officers in the California Highway Patrol. The series ran for 139 episodes over six seasons. Erik Satie - Gnossienne No.1 Alfred Eric Leslie Satie (Honfleur, 17 May 1866 -- Paris, 1 July 1925) was a French composer and pianist. Starting with his first composition in 1884, he signed his name as Erik Satie. Satie was introduced as a "gymnopedist" in 1887, shortly before writing his most famous compositions, the Gymnopédies. Later, he also referred to himself as a "phonometrograph" or "phonometrician" (meaning "someone who measures (and writes down) sounds") preferring this designation to that of "musician," after having been called "a clumsy but subtle technician" in a book on contemporary French composers published in 1911. In addition to his body of music, Satie also left a remarkable set of writings, having contributed work for a range of publications, from the dadaist 391 to the American Vanity Fair. Although in later life he prided himself on always publishing his work under his own name, in the late nineteenth century he appears to have used pseudonyms such as Virginie Lebeau and François de Paule in some of his published writings. Satie was a colourful figure in the early 20th century Parisian avant-garde. He was a precursor to later artistic movements such as minimalism, repetitive music and the Theatre of the Absurd. "Gnossienne" is the name given to several piano pieces by French composer Erik Satie in the late 19th century. Satie's coining of the word "gnossienne" was one of the rare occasions when a composer used a new term to indicate a new "type" of composition. Satie had and would use many novel names for his compositions; for example, "ogive" had been the name of an architectural element until Satie used it as the name for a composition, the Ogives Similarly with "vexations", "croquis et agaceries" and so on—but "gnossienne" was a word that did not exist before Satie used it to indicate a composition. "Gnossienne" appears to be derived from the word gnosis; Satie was involved in gnostic sects and movements at the time that he began to compose the Gnossiennes. However, some published versions claim that the word derives from Cretan "knossos" or "gnossus" and link the Gnossiennes to Theseus, Ariadne and the Minotaur myth. The Gnossiennes were composed by Satie in the decade following the composition of the Trois Sarabandes (1887) and the Trois Gymnopédies (1888). Like these Sarabandes and Gymnopédies, the Gnossiennes are often considered dances. It is not certain that this qualification comes from Satie himself—the sarabande and the Gymnopaedia were at least historically known as dances. The musical vocabulary of the Gnossiennes is a continuation of that of the Gymnopédies (a development that had started with the 1886 Ogives → Sarabandes → Gymnopédies → Gnossiennes) later leading to more harmonic experimentation in compositions like the Danses Gothiques. These series of compositions are all at the core of Satie's characteristic 19th century style, and in this sense differ from his early salon compositions (like the 1885 "Waltz" compositions published in 1887), his turn-of-the-century cabaret compositions (like the Je te Veux Waltz), and his post-Schola Cantorum piano solo compositions, starting with the Préludes flasques in 1912.
