Stay on These Roads - A-ha Live Ask most any U.S.-born citizen who the top performers in the world are and you might get some similar nominees and consensus. Chances are the name 'A-ha" won't even be on their lips. But when you point out that the Norwegian band A-ha has consistently been at the very top of international supergroups, selling-out stadiums all over the world and producing hit albums regularly throughout the last twenty-something years, chances are you'll receive a blank stair of confusion. When you remind them of the superb 80s video for their megahit "Take On Me" (which is easily remembered by anyone who's ever watched music videos), you'll most likely get the response, "I just thought they were a 'one-hit-wonder'." Actually, they've been anything but a one-hit-wonder. When it comes to selling tickets and bringing in the huge audience numbers, A-ha far surpasses those bands which probably topped the misinformed lists of your average American music lover. When I saw this concert from last year, I was completely blown away! Morten's vocals are simply superb... as always! He is one of the few singers who I have yet to see a bad performance. The man has a great vocal range and rarely hits a wrong note. And this song... I had never heard it before, but instantly was captivated by it's sheer beauty and emotion! This has to be one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's simply breath taking. If you find it as incredible as I do, please post your comments. Thanks. Oh yeah... if Lennon had seen this video, his response could have been, "I might not believe in the beatles, yoko, myself or in God but Wow(!!) I sure believe those Norse lads are superb in concert! "Help!" is a song by The Beatles that served as the title song for both the 1965 film and its soundtrack album. It was also released as a single, and was number one for three weeks in both the United States and the United Kingdom. "Help!" was written primarily by John Lennon, but credited (as were all Beatles songs written by either person) to Lennon/McCartney. Paul McCartney reports that he had a hand in writing the song as well, being called in "to complete it" in a two-hour joint writing session on 4 April 1965 at Lennon's house in Weybridge. He later said that the title was "out of desperation". In 2004, "Help!" was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
