[View \| Download]	The two-man bicycle kick The two-man bicycle kick Tandem kick in Argentina In last Sunday's Argentina Primera Division match between Gimnasia La Plata and Boca Juniors, something happened that probably hasn't happened before and we probably won't see again. After the ball deflected off a Boca defender, Gimnasia's Sebastian Romero and Marco Perez both executed bicycle kicks at the same time to score a goal. Trying to figure the odds on both players executing overhead kicks in unison to put the ball in the back of the net is enough to make your head hurt, especially considering Perez had to scramble to his feet in order to get there. Gimnasia La Plata ended up winning the match 1-0 and instead of the goal being credited with half a goal each, Perez was the one given sole credit and upon closer inspection, it looks like he at least got more of the ball than Romero (maybe?). Plus, he's the one who celebrated the goal first, which is nine-tenths of the law. Our friends over at Eurosport are cleverly calling it a "tandem" since that's what you call a two-person bicycle. I think I'll go with that, too. Or maybe just "wow" for short. Here is one for the dubious goals panel; a remarkable double overhead kick for Gimnasia La Plata against Boca Juniors in the Argentine league. 2010 Gimnasia-Boca - 0 More Stories * Fulham train on the motorway As the ball loops up off a defender, Sebastian Romero (on the left) and Marco Perez both have the same idea, and the combined force of their joint volley carries the ball into the Boca net. We're not sure what to call this, but we'll go for a 'tandem' since it was a two-man bicycle kick. After forensic examination, the goal was awarded to Perez, but we think the pair should have taken half a goal each. [View \| Download]	Marcha de las Malvinas - March of the Malvinas La Marcha de las Malvinas fue compuesta en 1939, es una canción oficial de la República Argentina que se entona en los actos de reclamo y reivindicación de la soberanía argentina sobre las islas. Resultó ganadora de un concurso organizado por la Junta de Recuperación de las Malvinas. El día 10 de junio de cada año se conmemora la designación del primer gobernador argentino en el archipiélago, que fue el 10 de junio de 1829. Fue designado Luis Vernet, quien fue tomado prisionero el 4 de enero de 1833 por los ingleses cuando tomaron las islas por la fuerza. El 2 de abril de 1982 -durante el gobierno militar- la República Argentina recuperó la soberanía de Malvinas por la fuerza desencadenando un conflicto bélico con Gran Bretaña que culminó con la derrota de Argentina. Cada 2 de abril se conmemora el día del veterano de guerra y de los caídos en Malvinas. Esta marcha tuvo especial difusión por los medios de comunicación (controlados por el gobierno militar) durante la guerra. Con la breve recuperación de las islas la estrofa que menciona a la "perdida perla austral" se cambió por la "argentina perla austral"; aunque solo en el canto, el texto siempre se mantuvo original. En este video traté de no recurrir a imágenes de la guerra, pero igualmente está dedicado a todos los que arriesgaron y perdieron la vida por defender la patria.
