La Alemania Nazi, Imperio Nazi, III Imperio Alemán o el Tercer Reich son términos que se refieren a la Alemania del período comprendido entre 1933 y 1945, cuando Adolf Hitler gobernó este país bajo los fundamentos de la ideología totalitaria del nazismo. El Tercer Reich es el período y se utiliza como sinónimo para la Alemania Nazi. El término fue introducido por la propaganda nazi, que contaba al Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico como el primer Reich o imperio, al Imperio alemán de 1871 como el segundo y a su propio régimen como el tercero. Esto fue hecho para sugerir una vuelta gloriosa de la Alemania anterior tras la República de Weimar instaurada en 1919 y que, sin embargo, nunca fue disuelta oficialmente por el nuevo régimen. El partido Nazi procuró combinar símbolos tradicionales de Alemania con símbolos del partido Nazi, siendo un símbolo único, la esvástica el más representativo del régimen, en un esfuerzo por afianzar la idea de unidad entre sus ideales y Alemania. Holocaust Footage (1945) - Part One - [WARNING: DISTRESSING IMAGES] Holocaust footage, taken from the British Pathe reel "German Atrocities" - Camps Buchenweld & Belson The original Pathe titlescreen writes "Germany's crimes are no longer hidden from sight. At last the eyes of the world are opened. We believe it our duty to screen these pictures as a warning to future generations..." The British MP Mrs. Mavis Tate visits Buchenweld concentration camp and witnesses some of the atrocities and results of horrific and inhumane war crimes that were carried out there. Some of the liberated prisoners are seen, as are mass graves and scenes of destruction, and the ovens which were used to incinerate the murdered detainees. Former inmates in an outburst of anger brandishes his walking stick and tries to hit a guard, inmates then smash the guards' offices.
