AVR ATmega8 based Remote Controlled Fan Regulator.

This circuit allows the user to control the speed of an AC fan (or intensity of AC light Bulbs) using an IR Remote Control. The circuit provides 10 way speed control. The load can also be switched on and off by the remote control unit. The main part of the circuit is Atmel ATmega8 MCU which receives commands from a NEC remote control and adjusts the speed of AC load. Other parts are Zero detection unit and triac to control the load. A seven segment LED display shows the current speed 0-9. http://extremeelectronics.co.in/avr-projects/avr-project-remote-controlled-fan-regulator/

Electronic Components Tester LCD : Part 1

This is my Electronic Components Tester, after 7 months of development I finished my prototype. This device is a mix between oscilloscope and multimeter. It can measure and automatically detect the connected components. This device measures components with 2 wire, it is powered with a Li-ion. Soon I'll improve the software to detect more components. This project contains: -PIC24HJ128GP204 (@80Mhz 128k flash, and 8k RAM) -Li-ion battery (7.4v) + fast system charge. -Many analog electronics: power supply, switching, 8 Operational Amplifier ... -Color LCD (320x240 65K color) - Power switch, Lab connector... Autonomous Bassline Generator

The Autonomous Bassline Generator creates deterministic bassline patterns in a sci-fi retro sound by generating melodies on the fly, based on a knob. It's just an AVR (attiny44) chip doing all the work, plus an opamp to act as the filter (photocell). The blue button is Tap Tempo, or if you hold it down for 1 second, it syncs up to the pulses on the IR receiver (this lets you beat-sync multiple Andromeda Space Rocker modules). The red button lets you edit a single note in the melody. Pulse-width modulation is currently pre-set to a certain envelope, but that will become user-controllable soon! Part of the "Andromeda Space Rockers" series of modules, see www.ericarcher.net for drum modules. The 6-pin header board dangling to the right is an ISP header. Totally hackable!

ECE 4760 Wireless Programmable Pace Clock Demo

For our spring 2011 CDE project in Cornell University's ECE 4760, we designed and built a wirelessly controlled and programmable pace clock, with a 40" x 15" LED display and Android Smartphone control over Bluetooth. The clock runs on an Atmel ATmega32A microcontroller. Project website: http://people.ece.cornell.edu/land/courses/ece4760/FinalProjects/s2011/pss83/Website/index.html

AVR oscilloscope v2.00 Video 2

With a firmware update of 'AVR oscilloscope" the oscilloscope has now new features: - Prints on LCD the Volts peak-to-peak, DC volts and the frequency of the measured waveform. - RAM requirement has been reduced from 1200 bytes to 335 bytes. That means you can use an AVR microcontroller with lower RAM than 2kB. For more details you can read on my web site http://www.serasidis.gr by clicking on "AVR based oscilloscope" link.

Using Maxim DS1307 Real Time Clock with Atmel AVR Microcontroller

Building our own digital clock is one of the dreamed project by most of the hobbyist or anyone that want to learn or involve seriously in the embedded system world; the ability to integrate time, day and date to the embedded system is one of the important knowledge that should be known by any embedded system designer. Todays technology makes life easier as all these capabilities has already built nicely inside the Maxim (Dallas) DS1307 Real Time Clock (RTC) chip.
