Expanding Bullets - Munição de Ponta Oca - "Dumdum" Dumdum é o nome coloquial para os projéteis de armas de fogo que possuem a capacidade de se fragmentar ou expandir durante o impacto, aumentando assim a transferência de energia e consequentemente o Stopping Power (Poder de Parada). Foram desenvolvidos inicialmente pelo arsenal inglês de DumDum na Índia, e suas primeiras versões constam de projéteis com um furo na parte frontal ou um corte em cruz na porção frontal. Sua designação oficial é munição de ponta oca. O principio de funcionamento baseia-se na dinâmica de fluidos, após penetrar no meio (aquoso ou gelatinoso)é criada uma zona de pressão no interior da concavidade do projétil que força as extremidades (bordas) da ogiva para fora ´aflorando´ o projétil.
