[View \| Download]	p-7805u review (Gateway FX) By rmbrown09 Just a review of the 7805u, noticed there weren't too many of them :) Comment away if you want to know anything else (this is the 1920x1200 screen that is not available anymore for the 7805u. They made a mistake when it was first produced to give it the better screen. If you buy this laptop now you will get the 1440x1220!! (Its still awesome though trust me) Specs_________________________ 2.26 core 2 duo CPU 9800m GTS 1GB 7200 RPM 320 GB HDD 1920x1200 screen (1200p) 4GB DDR3 Ram 1.3 MP Webcam *now running dual boot with--Windows 7 RC and Mac OSx Leopard Pros--- Great Overclocking ability puts this card into the 10,000 3dmark area. Second Bay for HD makes it easy to install another HD and set RAID0 for blazing performance. Um, this goes without saying but gaming animal (and only 1000!) A: unlike when you bought your computer and it came with the video drivers pre-installed, a fresh copy of 7 has no idea what video card you have and does not have the drivers for them. That means it has to run on your integrated card. Simply go to nvidia.com or ati.com and download the specific drivers for your card. I have a in depth overclocking video showing you how to do this. ________________________________________ _____ PRE-ACTIVATED EXPLANATION If the version IS pre-activated (the one in this video is not) that means that when you install 7, it is already activated and you don't have to do anything else. Obviously if its not then you must activate it yourself through a program (like the great one in this video) SO- Your asking why not just get a pre-activated version right?? 1. If its pre-activated that means that there have been tamperings with the base windwos files, that means it wont be a clean install no matter what you ever do, could see reduced performance. 2. If Microsoft ever removes the product key the pre-ac version uses and you ever need to reinstall, you wont be able to use it.
