ZAP/ROGER This song is dope, it has a little sample of "More Bounce to the Ounce" for the baselines and a synth that's kicking! A.L.T. (Another Latin Timebomb) is just too fucking underrated by both the mainstream and underground scene. Now this song, it was released in 2001... but as you can probably tell, this was in the vault for a couple years and sounds like it was recorded years prior to it's release date, my guess is that it was from 1995, since Frost released an album that year for Eazy-E's Ruthless Recs. entitled "SMILE NOW DIE LATER" and ALT made a gang of guest appearances on that album. "6 IN THE MORNING"--- A.L.T. [G-FUNK 1999] Artist: A.L.T. Song: 6 In the Morning Album: West Coast Gambinos Year: 1999 Location: Los Angeles, CA. One of the most underrated Chicano rappers...scratch that, most underrated rapper period....... Bio according to http://www.rapdict.org/A.L.T.: A.L.T. is from El Monte, California, and is of Mexican and French American descent. He started rapping in 1983 and started working with music producer Tony G in 1989. Tony G asked him to write a track for Kid Frost, and Frost in turn asked him to join his Latin supergroup, Latin Alliance. In 1991, his debut album, Another Latin Timebomb, mainly produced by Mike Greene and Geoff Rios, was released on Atlantic/East West Records, spawning the worldwide crossover hit "Tequila", a cover version of the song by the Champs. After his second album, Stone Cold World, produced by Tony G, came out independently with more of a G-funk style, A.L.T. continued collaborating with rappers such as Slow Pain, Mellow Man Ace and Kid Frost, proving to be one of the driving forces behind the L.A. Latin rap scene and writing lyrics for Kid Frost, he also wrote lyrics and songs for Eazy-E. ___________________________________________ OTHER INFO' ___________________________________________ A.L.T. (Another Latin Timebomb) started rapping in 1983. He was one of the best rappers in the San Gabriel Valley. He made his first demo tape and tried to shop it, but was unsuccessful. In 1989 he hooked up with Latin producer Tony Gonzales and they started making new demos. In 1989 Tony asked him to write a song for an artist he had named Kid Frost, and the "Hispanic Causing Panic" album was born. Then Frost asked A.L.T. to be part of a group called Latin Alliance, his voice was heard across the world for the first time on a rap version of a War song called "Lowrider." He left the group in 1991 to pursue a solo career and did his first album at Atlantic/East West Records titled "Another Latin Timebomb." The first single called "Tequila" quickly shot up the Billboard pop charts making the top 40, the single was even bigger overseas in countries such as Japan, Germany, and many other countries. It was the number 1 song for several weeks in Australia, number 3 in New Zealand (not too bad for a kid off the streets of El Monte). The second album titled "Stone Cold World," also did well and was a huge hit in the south west, especially the single called "All Night." To date A.L.T. has worked on many, soundtracks and has written lyrics for many different artist. He worked with many artist such as Eric Wright aka Eazy E, Lighter Shade of Brown, JV, Clientel of the wrecking crew, Unknown DJ, Funky Aztecs, Tarrie B of Ruthless Records, The Twinz from the LBC Crew, Foesum, LiteFoot the Indian in the cubbard, and Gerrardo. A.L.T. was also feature on the Substitute soundtrack, and many other compilations.
