Conchita Velasco - Chica Ye-Yé (w/lyrics)
By ilcourtlesfilles

The term "Ye-Yé" was invented by the French and then adopted by the Spanish to refer to the new wave of beat-oriented pop music inspired by two foreign influences- the American "twist" sound circa 1961 and the subsequent "beat-boom" phenomenon of Britain. Spanish film-star Conchita Velasco helped define the "Ye-Yé girl" as a pop-culture icon in her smash hit of 1965, "La Chica Ye-Yé." As the lyrics explain, a Ye-Yé girl has "mucho ritmo" (lots of rhythm) and sings "en inglés, con el pelo alborotado, y las medias de color" (in English, with messed-up hair and colored socks).
LYRICS:
no te quieres enterar
que te quiero de verdad
no te quieres enterar

no te quieres enterar ye ye ye

no te quieres enterar ye ye ye
que te quiero de verdad ye ye ye ye
y vendras a pedirme y a rogarme
y vendras como siempre a suplicarme
que sea tu chica
tu chica yeye
que sea tu chica ye ye
que sea tu chica
tu chica yeye
que sea tu chica ye ye

ye ye ye
ye ye ye ye

buscate una chica una chica ye ye
que tenga mucho ritmo
y que cante en ingles
el pelo alborotado
y use medias de color

una chica ye ye
una chica yeye
que te comprenda como yo

no te quieres enterar ye ye ye
que te quiero de verdad ye ye ye ye
y vendras a pedirme y a rogarme
y vendras como siempre a suplicarme
que sea tu chica
tu chica yeye
que sea tu chica ye ye
que sea tu chica
tu chica yeye
que sea tu chica ye ye

MUSIC FROM THE 1963-1967 TELEVISION SERIES "THE FUGITIVE"
By DavidVonPein

Peter Rugolo wrote this mixture of inimitable musical themes and cues for the 1960s television series "The Fugitive".

Rugolo's music was an essential element of the 120 episodes of "The Fugitive" that ran on ABC-TV from 1963 to 1967. Each show's mood was enhanced and deeply enriched by these musical arrangements.

Retro Glam Party Makeup- Ask Me Makeup with Amy B
By askmemakeup

Hi everyone!

This is a retro party glam makeup look! It follows the principles of the smokey eye, but just on the upper eye. This gives it a bit of a 60's twist.

Megan, my beautiful friend, has very full uppper and lower lashes. The lower eye looks as though we've lined it with pencil, but we hadn't.

Enjoy!

Music used in this video:
* Everything I've Got- Blossom Dearie
* Kiss Me Honey Honey- Shirley Bassey

Makeup used in the video:
* Mac StudioFix Liquid Foundation in NC20

* Napoleon Translucent Powder
* Rimmel London Matte White Eyeshadow

* Mac Black Tied Velvet Eyeshadow

BE MY BABY (original hit by the Ronettes)
By RockabillyUS

Rockabilly US Music Shows performs mostly 1950s and 1960s hits from the top artists of that day. We also do a few from the 40s... and even a couple of songs from the 30s, as well as a few from the 70s, and an occasional ballad (such as I Will Always Love You... by Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston) from more recent times. Every show features different songs, and we perform many hundreds of them.

Paul Simon - Mother And Child Reunion
By fiendishkx

Album: Paul Simon ~ 1972

So much has been said and written about Paul Simon that it's difficult to summarize his career, as one-half of Simon and Garfunkel and then as a solo artist, without restating clichés that have already been digested by tens of millions of fans. To start with the obvious, Simon was one of the giants of the folk revival scene of the 1960s and 1970s, and part of the generation of singer-songwriters and lyricists dominated by the presence of Bob Dylan and Lennon & McCartney. One the best melody masters of pop music, Simons extensive catalog and career which spans 6 decades demonstrates that he belongs in the upper echelons of rock musics greatest acts and shows that he is a consummate master of songcraft.

From the opening cut, "Mother and Child Reunion", Simon, who had snuck several subtle musical explorations into the generally conservative S&G sound, broke free, heralding the rise of reggae with an exuberant track recorded in Jamaica for a song about death. From there, it was off to Paris for a track in South American style and a rambling story of a fisherman's son, "Duncan" But most of the album had a low-key feel, with Simon on acoustic guitar backed by only a few accompanied arrangements. It was miles removed from the big, stately ballad style of Bridge Over Troubled Water and signaled that Simon was a versatile songwriter as well as an expressive singer with a much broader range of musical interests than he had previously demonstrated. You didn't miss Art Garfunkel on Paul Simon, not only because Simon didn't write Garfunkel-like showcases for himself, but because the songs he did write showed off his own, more varied musical strengths.

My personal favorites are
Everything Put Together Falls Apart
Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard
Mother And Child Reunion
