bichhde sabhi bari bari ..rafi-guru dutt-s d burman-kagaz ke phool

Song-Dekhi Zamane Ki Yaari 'बिछडे सभी बारी बारी' , Singer - Mohammad Rafi Lyrics-Kaifi Azmi ,Music- S.D. Burman Movie-Kaagaz Ke Phool, (Hindi: कागज़ के फूल; English: Paper Flowers), is a 1959 classic Hindi film produced and directed by Guru Dutt, who also played the lead role in the film. The film was a box office disaster of its time but was later resurrected as a world cinema cult classic in the 1980s. The film's music was composed by S. D. Burman and the notable lyrics were written by Kaifi Azmi, giving hits like Waqt ne Kiya Kya Haseen Situm, sung by Geeta Dutt. In the 2002 Sight & Sound critics' and directors' poll, Kaagaz Ke Phool was ranked at #160 among the greatest films of all time.[1] Motivated by the success of Pyaasa, Guru Dutt embarked on the creation of yet another of his socially challenging movie, Kaagaz Ke Phool. The theme and tone on this movie were ages ahead of the Indian audience of the 50s who were used to simpler plots and storylines. The underlying tones of the film were complex and story was controversial for the time. Considered one of Guru Dutt's finest film by many, Kaagaz Ke Phool was a commercial disaster when it was first released. At the film's premiere, Dr Rajendra Prasad, then President of India and invited chief guest, walked out of the cinema hall deeply offended[citation needed]. Audiences in Delhi's Regal cinema threw stones at the screen during the screening. Reactions like these deeply affected the sensitive and introverted Dutt[2] Guru Dutt himself admitted in an interview to Filmfare in 1963, " It was good in patches. It was too slow and it went over the head of audiences." Many claim that the film is semi-autobiographical of Guru Dutt and that he portrayed his angst in the movie. At the time of production of the film, Guru Dutt's marriage to Geeta Dutt was under strain due to his liking for Waheeda Rehman. This was openly known causing Guru Dutt's personal life to resemble that of the protagonist in the movie. However, the forecast of his own (Guru Dutt's) death, to parallel the sad and imminent death of the protagonist in the film, is debatable. Another explanation for the inspiration is Guru Dutt's association with Gyan Mukherjee, the famous 1940s director whose Qismet (1941) had made him into a household name. The life and subsequent failures of Mukherjee, whom Guru Dutt had joined in 1950, influenced him deeply. Many think that Kaghaz ke Phool was based on Gyan Mukherjee's life and failures,[5] as Guru Dutt's previous film Pyaasa had been dedicated to him. Awards- Filmfare Best Cinematographer Award - V.K. Google On China - No More Censorship !

Google Attacked from China: Wake-up Call to International Business January 12, 2010 Google today issued a statement that it will reconsider the company's operations in China, following an investigation bringing to light a sophisticated and targeted attack on [Googles] infrastructure originating from China. Human Rights in China (HRIC) is providing a Chinese translation of the statement. In addition to the theft of intellectual property from Google, its investigation revealed that more than 20 other large companies have been similarly targeted. The company cites evidence that the primary goal of the attacks was to access Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. The company also discovered that, independent of the attack on Google, the accounts of Gmail users based in the U.S., China, and Europe appear to have been routinely accessed by third parties. This is a wake-up call to the international community about the real risks of doing business in China, especially in the information communications technology (ICT) industry an industry that is essential to the protection of freedom of expression and privacy rights, said Sharon Hom, executive director of Human Rights in China. The outcome of Googles discussions with the Chinese government will send a strong message about the future stakes for foreign businesses operating in China. http://www.hrichina.org/public/contents/press?revision_id=172762&item_id=172757 =============================== http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-approach-to-china.html A new approach to China 1/12/2010 03:00:00 PM Like many other well-known organizations, we face cyber attacks of varying degrees on a regular basis. In mid-December, we detected a highly sophisticated and targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating from China that resulted in the theft of intellectual property from Google. However, it soon became clear that what at first appeared to be solely a security incident--albeit a significant one--was something quite different. First, this attack was not just on Google. As part of our investigation we have discovered that at least twenty other large companies from a wide range of businesses--including the Internet, finance, technology, media and chemical sectors--have been similarly targeted. We are currently in the process of notifying those companies, and we are also working with the relevant U.S. authorities. Second, we have evidence to suggest that a primary goal of the attackers was accessing the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. Based on our investigation to date we believe their attack did not achieve that objective. Only two Gmail accounts appear to have been accessed, and that activity was limited to account information (such as the date the account was created) and subject line, rather than the content of emails themselves. Third, as part of this investigation but independent of the attack on Google, we have discovered that the accounts of dozens of U.S.-, China- and Europe-based Gmail users who are advocates of human rights in China appear to have been routinely accessed by third parties. These accounts have not been accessed through any security breach at Google, but most likely via phishing scams or malware placed on the users' computers. CIA Archives: The Cuban Revolution - Documentary History (1960)

DVD: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UWNI0M/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=doc06-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B000UWNI0M http://thefilmarchive.org/ The Cuban Revolution was a successful armed revolt by Fidel Castro's 26th of July Movement, which overthrew the US-backed Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista on 1 January 1959, after over five years of struggle. "Our revolution is endangering all American possessions in Latin America. We are telling these countries to make their own revolution." — Che Guevara, October 1962 Castro later travelled to the United States to explain his revolution. He said, "I know what the world thinks of us, we are Communists, and of course I have said very clearly that we are not Communists; very clearly." Hundreds of suspected Batista-era agents, policemen and soldiers were put on public trial for human rights abuses and war crimes, including murder and torture. Most of those convicted in revolutionary tribunals of political crimes were executed by firing squad, and the rest received long prison sentences. One of the most notorious examples of revolutionary justice was the execution of over 70 captured Batista regime soldiers, directed by Raúl Castro after the capture of Santiago. For his part in Havana, Che Guevara was appointed supreme prosecutor in La Cabaña Fortress. This was part of a large-scale attempt by Fidel Castro to cleanse the security forces of Batista loyalists and potential opponents of the new revolutionary regime. Others were fortunate enough to be dismissed from the army and police without prosecution, and some high-ranking officials in the ancien régime were exiled as military attachés. In 1961, after the US-backed Bay of Pigs Invasion, the new Cuban government nationalized all property held by religious organizations, including the dominant Roman Catholic Church. Hundreds of members of the church, including a bishop, were permanently expelled from the nation, with the new Cuban government being declared officially atheist. Faria describes how the education of children changed as Cuba officially became an atheist state: private schools were banned and the progressively socialist state assumed greater responsibility for children. According to geographer and Cuban Comandante Antonio Núñez Jiménez, 75% of Cuba's best arable land was owned by foreign individuals or foreign (mostly U.S.) companies. One of the first policies of the newly formed Cuban government was eliminating illiteracy and implementing land reforms. Land reform efforts helped to raise living standards by subdividing larger holdings into cooperatives. Comandante Sori Marin, nominally in charge of land reform, objected and fled, but was eventually executed. Many other non-Marxist, anti-Batista rebel leaders were forced in to exile, purged in executions, or eliminated in failed uprisings such as that of the Beaton brothers. Shortly after taking power, Castro also created a Revolutionary militia to expand his power base among the former rebels and the supportive population. Castro also initiated Committees for the Defense of the Revolution or CDRs in late September 1960. Government informants became rampant within the population. CDRs were tasked with keeping "vigilance against counter-revolutionary activity." Local CDRs were also tasked with keeping a detailed record of each neighborhood's inhabitants' spending habits, level of contact with foreigners, work and education history, and any "suspicious" behavior. One of the persecuted groups were homosexual men. The Cuban dissident and exile Reinaldo Arenas wrote about such persecution in his autobiography, "Antes Que Anochezca", the basis for the film Before Night Falls. In February 1959, the Ministry for the Recovery of Misappropriated Assets (Ministerio de Recuperación de Bienes Malversados) was created. Cuba began expropriating land and private property under the auspices of the Agrarian Reform Law of 17 May 1959. Cuban lawyer Mario Lazo writes that farms of any size could be and were seized by the government. Land, businesses, and companies owned by upper- and middle-class Cubans were also nationalized, including the plantations owned by Fidel Castro's family. By the end of 1960, the revolutionary government had nationalized more than $25 billion worth of private property owned by Cubans. Cuba also nationalized all foreign-owned property, particularly American holdings, in the nation on 6 August 1960. The United States, in turn, responded by freezing all Cuban assets in the United States, severing diplomatic ties, and tightening the embargo on Cuba, which is still in place as of 2011. In response to the acts of the Eisenhower administration, Cuba turned to the Soviet Union for support. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Revolution
